When I first met Katie and David I knew that if they entrusted me to capture their wedding photographs at Hundred House in Telford we would really have a fantastic day - and when it came to their wedding at the end of May it certainly didn"t disappoint.
With the coming together of two fabulous families, with David"s South African family coming over for the wedding, and family members that area spread all over the world, it really had a party atmosphere - add to that the brilliant group of friends Katie + David have and you"re in for a particularly special day!

I had actually had the chance to spend a little time with Katie + David a few weeks prior to the wedding when I met up with them both at the Hundred House for an afternoon portrait session and I noticed again how valuable this can be, as far from being uncomfortable with the camera close to her, Katie really didn"t worry about me at all from the moment I arrived at her parents I immediately felt like part of the wedding, and began to enjoy the day with everyone.

Blessed with gorgeous weather, great locations and such a great couple as Katie + David, their wedding at Pattingham and the Hundred House was a real treat.

The Hundred House was actually another new venue for me, and although completely different to the Dovecliff Hall where I was for Alena + Anthony"s wedding the week before, with the gorgeous gardens and stunning barn setting, it really is a great wedding venue in Shropshire.

There were so many wonderful touches throughout the day that made Katie and David"s day extra special for them, from choice of stunning Bridal gown and complimenting Bridesmaids gowns, the sharp suits for the boys, the choice of great live music from Synergy - who I hadn"t seen for a few years! - to the emotional slideshow prepared by Katie"s sister with photos from both Katie + David"s families showing the couple from birth to the big day itself, it really was amazing to be part of.

I hope Katie + David had a great time on their honeymoon in Rome - although electing not to take me with them unlike Suzanne + Andrew! - I cannot wait to share their full story with them!
